Job Description: On behalf of our client, a regional hospital in Devonport, we are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join their multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and treat patients with cardiopulmonary disorders
  • Perform diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function tests
  • Manage mechanical ventilation for critically ill patients
  • Administer respiratory medications and oxygen therapy
  • Educate patients and families about respiratory care and disease management
  • Collaborate with physicians to develop and modify patient care plans
  • Respond to code blue and other emergency situations
  • Maintain and calibrate respiratory equipment
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives


  • Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Minimum 3 years experience in respiratory therapy
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical ventilation and respiratory pharmacology
  • Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • BLS and ACLS certifications
