Job Description: On behalf of our client, a major hospital in Hobart, we are seeking an experienced Orthopedic Surgeon to join their expanding surgical team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a wide range of orthopedic surgeries, including joint replacements and arthroscopic procedures
  • Diagnose and treat musculoskeletal conditions and injuries
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care to patients
  • Collaborate with physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals
  • Participate in on-call rotations for emergency orthopedic cases
  • Contribute to research and clinical trials in orthopedic surgery
  • Mentor junior surgeons and medical students
  • Attend regular team meetings and case conferences


  • FRACS in Orthopedic Surgery or equivalent
  • Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Minimum 7 years post-fellowship experience
  • Subspecialty interest in sports medicine or joint reconstruction preferred
  • Excellent surgical skills and clinical judgment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
