Job Description: On behalf of our client, a renowned cancer treatment center in Bendigo, we are seeking a skilled Oncology Pharmacist to join their dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and dispense chemotherapy and other cancer-related medications
  • Review and validate complex chemotherapy orders
  • Provide medication counseling to patients and their families
  • Collaborate with oncologists and nursing staff to optimize treatment plans
  • Monitor and manage drug therapies for side effects and interactions
  • Participate in clinical trials and research projects
  • Contribute to the development of pharmacy policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards for handling hazardous drugs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent
  • Current registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Oncology Pharmacy preferred
  • Minimum 3 years experience in oncology pharmacy
  • Strong knowledge of chemotherapy protocols and supportive care medications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
