Job Description: On behalf of our client, a leading children’s hospital in Brisbane, we are seeking an experienced Neonatal Nursing Specialist to join their state-of-the-art Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized nursing care to premature and critically ill newborns
  • Assist in complex medical procedures and operate advanced medical equipment
  • Monitor and assess neonates’ conditions and respond to any changes
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Collaborate with neonatologists and other healthcare professionals
  • Support and educate parents on neonatal care and breastfeeding
  • Mentor junior nurses and participate in staff training
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and research projects


  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
  • Postgraduate qualification in Neonatal Nursing
  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Minimum 5 years experience in NICU
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Strong clinical skills and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
