Job Description: On behalf of our client, a leading healthcare provider in Geelong, we are seeking an experienced Geriatric Care Specialist to join their multidisciplinary aged care team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive geriatric assessments and care plans
  • Manage complex medical conditions in elderly patients
  • Collaborate with allied health professionals and social workers
  • Implement fall prevention and cognitive health programs
  • Offer support and education to patients and their families
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to research in geriatric medicine
  • Mentor junior doctors and medical students

Qualifications:

  • FRACP in Geriatric Medicine or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years post-fellowship experience in geriatric care
  • Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Strong understanding of age-related health issues and treatments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in dementia care and palliative care preferred
