Job Description: On behalf of our client, a regional health service in Katherine, we are seeking a dedicated Endocrinologist for a fly-in-fly-out (FIFO) position to serve the local community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat hormonal disorders and metabolic diseases
  • Manage complex cases of diabetes, thyroid disorders, and other endocrine conditions
  • Provide specialist consultations for inpatients and outpatients
  • Collaborate with primary care physicians and other specialists
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for endocrine disorders
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Contribute to community health education programs
  • Engage in outreach services to remote Indigenous communities

Qualifications:

  • FRACP in Endocrinology or equivalent
  • Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Minimum 5 years post-fellowship experience in Endocrinology
  • Strong clinical skills in managing complex endocrine disorders
  • Experience in Indigenous health preferred
  • Excellent communication and cultural sensitivity
  • Willingness to work in a remote setting
