Job Description: On behalf of our client, a prestigious hospital in Newcastle, we are seeking a skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join their cardiovascular team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care to patients
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, and other specialists
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Contribute to research and clinical trials
  • Mentor junior surgeons and medical students
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
  • Participate in on-call duties


  • FRACS in Cardiothoracic Surgery or equivalent
  • Minimum 7 years post-fellowship experience
  • Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Proven track record in cardiac and thoracic surgeries
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in minimally invasive techniques preferred


  • Highly competitive salary package ($500,000 – $700,000 per annum)
