Job Description: On behalf of our client, a major hospital in Alice Springs, we are seeking an experienced Anesthesiologist for a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide anesthesia services for a wide range of surgical procedures
  • Conduct pre-operative assessments and develop anesthetic plans
  • Manage pain control during and after surgery
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs during procedures
  • Participate in the acute pain service
  • Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals
  • Supervise and train junior anesthetists and residents
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives
  • Participate in on-call roster for emergency surgeries

Qualifications:

  • FANZCA qualification or equivalent
  • Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Minimum 5 years post-fellowship experience in Anesthesiology
  • Experience in regional anesthesia techniques
  • Strong clinical skills and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience in remote or rural healthcare settings preferred
